October 27 / Lampung Pesisir

Description: The Lampung Pesisir are a subgroup of the Lampung people cluster who live on the southern coastal tip of the island of Sumatra. They are spread out over a wide area, lending itself to the development of numerous subgroups.

Prayer Points:
• The Lampung Pesisir follow the Shafi tradition of Sunni Islam, which means they are much stricter in their adherance and practice. Pray for a spirit of grace to be poured out upon them which might lead them to freedom in Christ and openness to the gospel.
• There is yet no church among the Lampung Pesisir, but a handful of believers have responded to initial evangelism efforts. Pray for strenghtening of this emerging fellowship and for the establishment of the first church among them.
• Pray for the completion of the Bible in the Lampung language.

A Prayer: Heavenly Father, may your love and the fullness of your grace be poured out upon the Lampung Pesisir, leading them to redemption in Jesus.

Every year 5,000 Lampung Pesisir die without Christ, many of whom never hear the gospel in their lifetime. Let's do something to change that.
