Description: The Jordanian Arabs are the descendants of bedouin tribes which inhabited the transjordan region, and which became a nation following World War II. Due to the political stability of the country, they became host to millions of refugees from Palestine, Syria and Iraq over the last five decades.
Prayer Points:
• Jordan is ruled as a constitutional monarchy and the royal family is highly respected. Pray for King Abdullah and his family that they might experience the saving power of Christ and open their country to the gospel.
• Christians in Jordan once numbered over 30% of the population one hundred years ago. They are now just six percent today. Pray that this small minority might shine the light of the gospel with boldness and faithfulness until Christ comes again.
• Jordanians have made peace with Israel and have greatly prospered as a result. Pray that they might become agents of reconciliation in the Middle East through the Prince of Peace.
A Prayer: Heavenly Father, may your eternal purposes for the Jordanian Arab people be fully known among them. Restore what the enemy has sought to take from them through false religion and deception, and bring them completely into the Kingdom of your Son Jesus.
Every year 9,000 Jordanian Arab die without Christ, many of whom never hear the gospel in their lifetime. Let's do something to change that.
