Description: The Persians are an ancient people whose culture, language and ideas have influenced the entire world. They descend from Central Asian Aryan tribes which began migrating south into the Iranian plateau over three thousand years ago, eventually splitting off into two major groups: the Medes and the Persians.

Prayer Points:
• Over one million Bibles have been smuggled into Iran, and they are still in high demand. Pray for the protection of those bringing God's word into Iran, and that millions more might be distributed.
• An estimated 40 percent of Iran is tuning in to watch Christian satellite broadcasts. Pray that those who respond to the gospel might get plugged into the underground house-church movement.
• There are still many unreached peoples in Iran that are related to the Persian people. Pray that God might give a vision to the emerging Persian church to reach out to them.

A Prayer: Heavenly Father, may your word continue to advance among the Persian people until all have heard the good news of salvation in Jesus.

Every year 299,000 Persian die without Christ, many of whom never hear the gospel in their lifetime. Let's do something to change that.
