Description: The Circassians are a Northwest Caucasian people, who are divided into two main sub-groups, Adyghe and Kabardian. They are closely related to three other smaller peoples, the Abkhaz, Abaza and Ubykh, which were once part of one large group.
Prayer Points:
• Praise God for an evangelistic team that is now working among Circassian young people. Pray for good responses on campuses, and for the emergence of a youth movement to Christ.
• The Circassians deeply resent Christians due to the genocide committed against them by the Orthodox Russians. Pray that God might use born-again Russians to be his agents of reconciliation.
• A Bible correspondence program has been launched among the Russian Circassian. Pray for the wide acceptance of this program.
A Prayer: Heavenly Father, pour out your spirit of grace about the Circassian people. May they enter into your kingdom worshipping your name in spirit and truth.
Every year 6,000 Adyghe die without Christ, many of whom never hear the gospel in their lifetime. Let's do something to change that.
