Description: The North Indians are Hindi speaking peoples, living primarily in the states of Uttar Pradesh, Madya Pradesh and Uttarkhand. They descend from indo-Aryan invaders that came to India in the third millenium BC. Today that are the largest and most dominant ethno-linguistic group in India.

• The North Indians are composed of over 150 caste groups, one of which is the Brahmins, who have been priests for thousands of years. Pray for breakthrough among this influential group and that they might become spiritual leaders in God's kingdom.
• The second most influential caste among the North Indians are the Rajputs. They are traditionally warriors and land-owners. Pray that this heritage might be redeemed in Christ as they become defenders of the gospel in their nation.
• One of the lowest caste groups among the North Indians are the Chamar, who are traditionally leather workers. A church-planting breakthrough has begun among them in Uttar Pradesh. Pray that God might use their supernatural witness to bear testimony to the truth of the gospel.
