June 21 / Iranian Baloch

Description: Around 25% of the Baloch live in the Iran, mostly in isolated mountainous regions in the state of Balochistan, which has enabled them to protect and retain their unique culture and language. Most are Sunni Muslims of the Hanafi school, but a small minority are Shiites. Predominately Shiite Iran frequently discriminates against the Sunnis in their nation.

Prayer Points:
• Balochistan is one of the most underdeveloped and desolte areas of the country of Iran. Pray for innovative ministry that will bring the gospel to this region through a development and investment platform.
• There is not yet any broadcasting in any of the major Baloch dialects. Pray for the funding, vision and personnel to get both radio and satellite TV broadcasts established.
• A breakthrough has begun among the Eastern Baloch in Pakistan. Pray for opportunities to open up that would enable missionaries from this movement to go into Iran with the gospel.

A Prayer: Heavenly Father, we thank you that this is the day of salvation for the Iranian Baloch. Strengthen and bless those called to bring them into your kingdom through Jesus Christ.

Every year 10,000 Iranian Baloch die without Christ, many of whom never hear the gospel in their lifetime. Let's do something to change that.
