Description: The Kui are one of the original inhabitants of Thailand and Cambodia. They speak a Mon-Khmer language, closely related to Cambodian. Their features vary widely due to intermarriage with various tribes in centuries past.
Prayer Points:
• The Kui are relatively recent converts to Buddhism and Buddhist inluence is increasing every year. Even so sorcery is the dominant spiritual power among them. Pray for complete deliverance from false religion and demonic influence.
• The Kui are increasingly being influenced by Khmer culture and language, and many Kui take Khmer brides. Pray that the growing church among the Khmer might have a missionary heart for their Kui neighbors.
• Illiteracy, poverty and poor health care are a few of the numerous problems which confront the Kui. Pray for Christian ministry that will address these issues in a Christ-centered way.
A Prayer: Heavenly Father, may the Kui be filled with your glory and find their hope in your Son Jesus.
Every year 5,000 Kui die without Christ, many of whom never hear the gospel in their lifetime. Let's do something to change that.
