Description: The Beidane, also known as the White Moors, are the major people group in Mauritania. Their lenguage Hassiniya derives from the Arabic dialect spoken by the Yemeni Bani Hassan tribe. They invaded NW Africa in the 15th century and intermarried with the local tribes, while enslaving others.

Pray that this priestly tribe might experience Jesus in a personal way and lead their followers to follow Christ alone.
• The Beidane were once primarily nomadic pastoralists but severe droughts have reduced nomadism to about 15% of the population. The vast majority were forced to kill off their herds or sell them. Pray that God would use Christians to bring blessing to the land of Mauritania through Jesus Christ.
