Description: The Ethiopian Somali live in the largest of the nine ethnic regional divisions of Ethiopia. Their province borders Somaliland in the east and has been affected by the civil war and unrest there.
Prayer Points:
• Around a third of Ethiopian Somali are nomadic pastoralists and are in need of mobile health, education and veterinarian services. Pray that these needs might become opportunities for witness by the Ethiopian church.
• Over 60 percent of the Ethiopian Somali do not have access to safe drinking water. Pray for creative means to assist them in this area and lead them to the eternal springs in Christ.
• Around 200,000 Somali live in refugee camps in Ethiopia, victims of the ongoing conflict in Somaliland. Pray for God's people that they may come as ministers of healing and grace in their midst.
