Description: The Rifi Berbers inhabit the Moroccan Rif on the Mediterranean coast and the Rif mountains in the North of the country. Unlike their Berber cousins in the Atlas mountains who are semi-nomadic, the Rifi Berbers are sedentary farmers and urban dwellers.
Prayer Points:
• Massive deforestation has occurred in the Riff mountains to prepare the way for Cannabis (Marijuana) plants. Pray for deliverance from the curse of drug addiction and for a movement to Christ that will transform their land into God glorifying usefulness.
• Rifi women are the preservers of language and culture, and hold the responsibility of preparing their sons for manhood. Pray for an outpouring of God's spirit upon Rifi women that will bring revival among their people and raise up a new generation of Christian leaders.
• A large minority of the Spanish autonomous city of Melilla is Rif Berber. Pray that God might awaken Spanish believers to plant churches among them and send discipled believers into Morocco as evangelists and pastors.
