Description: The Kabyle are one of the largest Berber ethnic groups in North Afica, living primarily in Algeria. They were once influenced by Christianity in the early days of the Church and many still wear crosses on their foreheads and clothing. Unfortunately the Bible was never translated in their language. Beginning in the 8th century, many began converting to Islam.
Prayer Points:
• The Kabyle are experiencing a major breakthrough for the gospel with hundreds of churches being established. Pray for continuend momentum in this movement that would result in a church for every Kabyle community.
• The emerging church among the Kabyle has the potential to impact the entire 30 million Berber cluster. Pray for a missions movement to being among them that would send workers into the dozens of Berber ethnic groups of North Africa.
• Hundreds of thousands of Kabyles have immigrated to Europe, where they struggle to find their identity and make a living. Pray for intentional outreach by European believers to love and share Jesus with their new neighbors.
A Prayer: Heavenly Father, your grace is all sufficient for the needs of the Kabyle. May the good work you have begun among them be brought to completion in your Son Jesus.
